This is listed as a 1952 CJ-2A.  There might be some value, but needs a closer look.

“1952 Willys CJ2A, it has been setting a few years. The motor turns over, I have not tried to start it yet. It ran when parked, the inspection sticker on the windshield is a 99 sticker. Thats pretty much all I really know about it at this point. Title is in hand, so if you have any questions or would like some more pics feel free to give me a call at 717-713-4484. Leave a message if I don’t answer and I will get back to you. The front right leaf spring is broken also.”

This is my understanding: if you and the jeep’s seller are in Pennsylvania you better make sure the title is in the owners name before you buy it . If it isn’t, I believe it’s worthless (for that transaction within PA). On the other hand, in PA if you buy an out of state jeep and as long as you have a title the PA DMV doesn’t care if the title is not in the sellers name. The reason for this is if you and the seller are in PA you need to get the Bill of Sale paperwork notarized before approaching the PA DMV to get the jeep titled in buyer’s name. If you have an out of state title you don’t notarize anything, just send in the seller’s title with the DMV’s paperwork to get it titled in the buyers name.
Does anybody in Pennsylvania have any experience to the contrary?

    Steve-

You are correct, the PA title needs to be notarized after the seller’s id is verified. Title needs to be assigned to a buyer (actually written on title… not just a bill of sale) prior to the notary stamping it too. They kind of like the sales amount and dates to be there too 😉

Out of state titles are easy… no notary.
