According to the Mt. Shasta News, a 1945 Chaplains Willys MB will be included at the Northern Recon Group’s gathering at the Butte County Fairgrounds. This is the 9th year they have held the event, which includes a wide variety of military vehicles and items. This jeep belongs to Bill and Becky Campbell of Durham, CA. I should pay more attention to local events. This sounds like a good time, and it’s only 100 miles from me. Had I known about this military event I wouldn’t have planned a Jeep trip in the mountains this weekend. (Oops.) I should look for this event next year and put it in my calendar.
I just looked up the information. This event was last weekend. I couldn’t have made it anyway. I took my military Jeep FC truck to the American Truck Historical Society’s 9th annual truck show in Orland, CA. I had the only Jeep, so it wasn’t worth sending photos to Dave. Over half of the 120 trucks in attendance were restored big rigs. Awesome display.
