“This is a true TIME CAPSULE! Sold with the original title and registration from Oregon do not miss your chance to own a piece of history. This truck comes from the original family that owned it when purchase in 1955 in Oregon. Used originally as a forest service truck to pull out redwoods this machine is a torque monster. Having personally driven this truck I can say it is without a doubt one of the best running WIllys out there. Do not mess around with custom 350 conversions this original straight 6 Super Hurricane engine is up for anything.

Only carrying 90,000 miles the engine runs like new and without ANY hesitation. Fires right up everytime and will take you down the road with its 3 speed manual transmission at 55 all day long. The truck could literally be used as a museum piece, car show winner, or a daily driver. Use it to promote your business or store it in your Willys collection, this truck is AMAZING!

-Original 90,000 Mile SUPER HURRICANE Engine
-Fully functional 3 speed manual trans and 4 wheel lock out hubs

Used 3 times a year to pull floats in parades the truck has been ran and kept in excellent condition making it one the cleanest and best running ORIGINAL Willys in existence.

The silver looks pretty fresh, but no matter really. I’ve got a “Jeep Buyer’s Guide” and it has several pictures of the early pickups. Several have the single bar bumper and some have the bumper with overiders/bumper guards and a grill guard bar. None have the “Willys” script but that may be painted on. None of the pictures in the book show a rear bumper at all. They were much like the CJ’s it seems. When I was in high school a friend had one with a flat-head V-8. We went all over in it…what a great sound that old flat-head had!

Interesting that the seller claims to have been a dealer for over 50 years but can’t read the mileage correctly. He states that it’s 90,000 miles, but then shows a photo of the odometer that only shows 9,000 miles, clearly it has turned over and must be 109,000 miles. Not that big of a deal on a truck this age, but makes you wonder what other details he got wrong.

Also for the price he’s asking how hard would it have been to get a proper battery holdown for the truck rather than using a couple bungee cords? The silver paint on the engine looks recent, you can even see on the firewall a spot where the silver spray bomb was tested.
