Agreed, Buzz. And what’s up with the guys who list their location as USA? I see that often on Ebay ads too.. A simple google of the email revealed the location as Versailles, Indiana.

I have found from both sides of the fence that not listing a price severely drops the number of responses to an ad. Most guys I have talked to have the impression that no proice listed means the guy is either going to feel you out for how much he can get from ya (IE No set price) or they are a dreamer on value, attempting to get way too much for a part. This individual could be asking a perfectly fine price, but why not put it out there so the potential buyer can decide if they want to spend whatever it is on the parts before even contacting the seller?

It is the same for cars on your front lawn with no price. Recently I saw a 2A for sale, was traveling thru the area. The owner had 5 vehicles for sale, every one had a nice for sale sign taped ot the inside of the glass. Not one had a phone number to call , or a price, or even the year of the car they were in. Needless to say, I didn’t pursue it any further.

Most vehicle purchases are not a case of absolute necessity. Same goes for parts purchased for a classic jeep. If the sellers make it easier for the buyer to understand what, where, and how much, chances are more sales will be made and faster too.

Hey DJ Bill, I agree completely. What’s with people these days? I go to a auto flea market and if I see something without a price, I feel it’s not even worth asking, it’s like they want to size you up before making up the price depending on how you are dressed or something. That’s not a game I want to play.
