1942 GPW Versailles, MO **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB) This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

“I am selling a 1942 Ford GPW Military Jeep. I purchased this Jeep to restore but have
hurt my back and now need to sell it.  GPW’s are getting harder to find now.
This particular one is still in running condition and the engine appears to be complete.
All the gauges and VIN tags are there.  The body is rough but I believe its repairable.
A GPW of course comes with a solid tailgate but this Jeep has no tailgate.
I apologize for the lack of pictures. We just had 8 inches of snow and I’ve been in
bed for a week with a bad back.  I will add pictures in a few days if I see some
interest in this Jeep.  Feel free to email with questions.  I’ve applied for a title
in my name but it hasn’t come yet.  I bought this Jeep with a good Title so eventually
the Title will be available.”

Is that a tank for compressed air? Don’t remember seeing something like that before. It can’t be propane for the jeep, the ebay ad says it’s powered by gasoline.

Hard to tell, unless it was powered by propane at one time.Alot of people tried it in the early 80s when gasoline went up,but lost fuel economy on propane(less btu’s than gasoline). At least that was my experience with propane.Of course propane does have its place to be used, and now with the “green”movement there is interest in propane again for motor vehicles.like Dave says, more pics would be helpful.

I was thinking that some just stuck the tank there temporarily. Maybe it has nothing to do with the jeep?
