One comment on “1943 Thermos Ad with Jeeps on eBay

My dad carried a larger version of the Thermos pictured here, for most of his working career after WWII. It was tan with two slightly different shades of red/orange and a red cup on top. He even made a wire handle for it using plumbers tape to hold it to the outside of the Thermos. It was kinda like Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si and his ice tea glass. He never went anywhere without it and it was always filled with coffee! Fond memories of my dad sitting on the tailgate of our 51 Jeep pickup, drinking coffee from the thermos on our firewood cutting days, while I began loading the wood in the back of the truck. Where we went in the Huachuca Mountains of southeastern Arizona where we lived, we needed the 4WD and low range. That old F-head 4 banger never let us down.
