This is a nice looking CJ-3A. It does need a new clutch.

“I have a classic Willys Jeep that I’m listing strictly because I need Christmas money and can’t afford the latest service needed on the Jeep. So, right away I should say that the Jeep does need to have the clutch done. Just started acting up the other day while I was driving it around. Really the only reason I’m testing the waters. THIS IS A VERY NICE JEEP. LOOKS BETTER THAN ALOT OF LATER MODELS

Now, the postives:
1. Rebuilt 1979 Pontiac (Iron Duke) 151 cu. in 4 cyl. (little over 18000 since rebuild)
2. T90 trans. with Warn overdrive
3. T18 transfer case
4. Typical Dana 25 front & 44 rear with 538 ratio
5. 11 inch Brakes (lots of meat on shoes)
6. Manual Saginaw steering with original post & wheel
7. Front inner & outer wheel bearings recently replaced (have receipts)
8. Six point full cage roll bar with the outer 4 mounts frame reinforced
9. Front seats are out of an Izuzu Trooper
10. Brand new back seat
11. Lap seat belts for 4
12. All the guages have been replaced along with under dash vacuum gauge & steering post mounted tach (note: gas gauge doesn’t work that good–may need new send unit)
13. Warn hubs on front
14. Has 5 matching wheels (white spoke) with P225 R15 all season Radials 90% tread & 2 sets of 4 Jeep 15 x 7 stock rims, one set with old rags and one set with nice matching studded tires 85% (same size as on Jeep)
15. Spare is mounted to rear bracket utilizing trailor hitch receiver.
16. Decent Bestop soft top (no rips or leaks)
17. Just had single wire Alternator rebuilt (have receipt)
18. I have a box with a few odds & ends parts along with an original Willys universal manual and a Chiltons manual for the motor, a 3-ring binder with a ton of documentation from when the Jeep was restored in 1996.
19.There is a Sony in-dash AM/FM cassette deck with 2 rear speakers (even works)

Anyway, I’m probably forgetting some things. In 1996 when the Jeep was restored, the tub was replaced, so no tool box under passenger seat, but does have a locking glove box. There is NO rust out cancer at all. Jeep is solid as a rock. Motor runs like a champ. Doesn’t leak or smoke and actually gets really good mileage (20+ per gal).

Now the nitty/gritty; I will entertain offers, BUT, as much as I need money right now, if I have this until tax refund time and can afford to fix the clutch, price will shoot upwards toward $12,000.00 or I’ll end up keeping it. (I don’t really want to sell it and only will for a decent price–so, NO LOW BALLING).

The only trades considered would be for a comparable CJ3B, MB, a 66-71 Jeepster Commando or
possibly for a 6 cyl YJ Wrangler and some cash on your part (same for the other models if they’re not in as good of shape as my 3A)

While it lasts; $9950.00 Reply with phone# (I check my e-mail often and will get right back to you)”
