Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: Was $6500. **SOLD**
The price is for both. The CJ-2A has a MB/GPW body.
“Hi. I’m selling my 1946 jeep willys. Not running but complete. And a 1978 Jeep CJ5 that runs but needs minor body work and a Fuel tank. I am asking $6500 for the both but would rather trade for 1997-2002 Jeep Wrangler. Must run as it will be my daily driver.”
That does look like an MB body (flat tool box cover, tool indents, no tailgate) but could it be VEC? It also has column shift, side fuel opening, drain holes, and no shock towers in the rear (although that floor looks modified/redone back there.) The rear bumper extends as though the body sits on a different frame (not GPW/MB nor CJ2A). Interesting.
Could be an old repro body. Certainly looks like and mb but with a column shift.
