Photos from WWII Pictoral History Book

Over the holidays I discovered several volumes of a book titled “Pictoral History of the Second World War”. Here’s an example of one of them at archive.org. The series is full of amazing photos, including some vintage jeeps photos. Most of the photos were taken by various news services.  I’ll be sharing these on occasion. Here are a couple:

    “manned by Negro troops” You’d never see that in today’s articles. Looks like they and the Jeeps are doing a fine job.

    I am enjoying all the WW2 jeep photos lately, almost all are new to me. For awhile you would see the same photos over and over again in books and magazines. Keep them coming!

    I love these old pictures, as they show the real strength as well as versatility of our beloved old Willys rigs.
    And yes to these real American Hero’s also for their pure guts to do this !
