UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was $5500.

(07/27/2014) Listed as a CJ-3B, it looks to be a DJ-3A, yet has a side gas inlet. I can’t tell if it has a rear inlet. Doesn’t run.

“Was intended to be a project but we have too many happening right now. This will make a great vehicle to use for parts or to restore!”

Looks like a DJ they tried to do M38/MB/GPW stuff to. No tool box like a DJ and minimal Gauges like a DJ. Tire carrier is right for a DJ. But 4×4 added like mine was. And they swapped it over to an F head.

Interesting jeep, I agree lots of DJ only features, dash, front lights and solid rear panel look right. The added braces for the rear panel look like WWII stuff….and I am not sure about the windshield with no vent and a channel for a top…

Problem is for a non running jeep he is asking a huge price. He is way above market IMO…

This has a 1961 CJ3B serial number 57348(CJ3B)70150, right in the middle of 1961 production, but the body sure appears to be DJ3A with the large speedo. The tailgate doesn’t look exactly right, nor does the side gas filler neck. The windshield appears to be CJ3A minus the opening vent. The serial number is on the firewall but has been painted over. Best guess, a combination of several Jeeps using the serial number, chassis, 4×4 and F-head engine from the 61 3B. Too much $$ for a non running Jeep.

I agree. I think it’s a dj body on a 3b chassis. And yes, it’s in nice shape, but way too much money for a non runner.
