Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seems like there may be value here. It’s supposed to have a rear PTO, but nothing protrudes from the back.

Here’s another interesting thing I noticed, the 1971 CJ5’s had the rear mounted between the frame rails gas tank. This one still has the old style under the drivers seat tank. (exploding gas tank Jeep, CBS 60 Minutes did a segment on this) The brain is working today, cooking with “GAS”.
That’s a great note. It could be this was a 1970 (or earlier) that was sold and title in 1971. Based on what I could find, the 1970 was the last with the driver’s tank.
Here’s a real nice 1970 with the side tank and a vintage top for $16,500.
