I went and checked these out. They belong to a widow, whose husband bought the vehicles and tore them apart for restoration. Right now nothing is allowed to be sold because they have a wagon they’re restoring and the widow dost want to accidentally lose any parts. I’m trying to work out a deal with the family.

    Nick,

Thanks for the report. But, I am confused. Why would they list the parts if they don’t want to sell them?

Dave, the son-in-law and daughter of the widow now took over the property I believe. When they asked her about me purchasing the entire lot, I don’t believe she was aware they listed this online.

I am also confused.I spoke with the son-in-law Friday evening,he sent me a few pics.He said they were just trying to clean up the place and did not want to see it scrapped. He called me Saturday but I had Easter that day.He said someone was coming Saturday to look at everything. He seemed on the honest side not expecting a fortune and told me about his father-in-law restoring a wagon. It was hard to figure out for sure what was up there without seeing it in person, but I am fairly sure no or few ww2jeep parts are there that I was interested in.Sounds like the widow did not know about all this.Glad I did not use 4 hours driving up there and back home.

Doug, I am the one who went. I only live about 45 minutes from him. There aren’t any WWII Jeeps there or parts that I could find. The widow wasn’t aware and I’m sure she was taken by suprise!

Sorry to hear that Nick.I know of this type of thing happening, owner is not close by or older and family members getting rid of items without permission.I attended an auction years back where there were over 30 antique tractors.None of them were complete, family members had been selling parts off of them for several years without permission while the owner was in a veterans home.It is a lot harder to do now with social media and the internet. Thanks to E-Willys and Nick I was not strung along any more on this one.I actually got a pic. and text message from the son-in-law after my last comment yesterday, with pics of more parts. Not sure if it was delayed from Saturday or what.I did not respond.
