The Ottawa Citizen published an article in March of 1955 about a jeep wrecked by a train. I think we can all agree that the moral of this story is to avoid trains when driving a jeep.

I find the small article in the lower left to be interesting given it pertains to a city just west of me. E.P. Taylor owned Windfield Farms in north Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. This farm produced alot of great race horses in it’s day, one of them being Northern Dancer. Well known farm for champion race horses, sadly it’s all just a memory for locals now, it’s all being torn down and ripped up and houses are being built on it, very sad. Hopefully the area on the farm where Northern Dancer is buried remains untouched.

Thank you David for running this newspaper article!

    Brian,

I’m glad you enjoyed that. I actually meant to delete that extra story, but forgot 🙂
