Dave, I think the reason the grill is extended out is because he has the “original” 6 cyl motor. Lots of work left to do…

Damn I thought the flat 4 in my CJ2A was original.
I think the “options” checklist back then was not very clear. If you wanted the straight 6, it might have been on a separate form. These forms may have never made it to print. That might be the reason no 6’s were ever put in flatties…
