It was the wiring that convinced me to post this jeep.

“1959 CJ5 Willys Jeep. This jeep is all original with 87,000 miles. In great working condition. Starts right up and runs great. It has the hard top that is shown in the pictures as well as a soft top. Also has a PTO Ramsey wench that comes with it. The wench on the front is a hand crank wench, not original, and can easily be replaced with an electric.

The original paint was white, but was hand spray painted camo’ for hunting. In the back is the original jeep wheels and some old tires, so if you wanted to put the originals back on, they are included. It has been in the family for over 40 years, and it has been a hard thing to let go of. I was going to completely restore it, but instead, will let someone else do that.
It is a hunting machine, will almost climb a rock wall. Manual steering, no power steering.
Manual choke, and throttle control. 3 individual windshield wipers.
4 cylinder, two barrel carburetor. Regular leaded gas is needed, so you need lead additive when putting unleaded in the tank. 10 gal gas tank. 3 speed on the floor, 4 wheel drive high and low range.
Lock out hubs that are unique. don’t see lock outs like these.
The right front fender is crinkled up some, as it confronted a tree on a hunting trip. Can be fixed or replaced. The jeep is a 59 with title, but was actually made in the middle of 1958, so it actually uses some parts that are for a 58 model. (ie) distributor parts . The tail lights and turn signals are not working at this time, may have them done. They are also original, so I am sure it’s because of corrosion.
So if you are looking for a jeep to fix up and make an original beauty, or if you are just looking for a great hunting machine. This is your chance. Compare it to the price of ATV’s.”

LOL!!!!! That is funny Dave! I love the “universal fit” positive battery cable! 🙂

  2. Minnesota Chris

That battery cable is way too long. That paint job makes it look terrible. Must be dreaming on the price

  3. Idaho Todd

Hmmm, more carpet. Really nice top. Maybe the battery cable is dual use, can also double as a winch cable…
