“1951 Willy’s jeep for sale. Does not run but as far as I can tell everything is there, it just needs someone who wants to restore it. The pictures can say more than I can. I’m looking for $1500 or best offer.”

Looks like a lot of potential for $1500, although no plugs in the no. 1 and no. 4 position is a major concern. Is Rochester near you, Chris?

Brother, you should check this out. Although, I doubt it will last. Looks good from the pics. Nice 1/2 cab. Used to be Luzon red. 5 original gauges. Harrison heater. Bummer that the plugs are out. Dana 44 in the rear instead of the 41. If rust is minimal, someone is stealing this baby…it’s really correct.

I went to look at this today with the intent to buy. we settled on $800 providing the jeep was solid. I knew right away when I pulled up that this was not going to be good. the body is way beyond repair and it had cheap farm repairs done to frame. No title. Motor locked up. the transmission and transfer case were free. It has just the shift unit for a pto. I offered $200 just for parts and we couldn’t strike a deal. another example of not fully disclosing the condition of a vehicle. I drove 4.5 hours to get it and went back. Pretty disappointing but I don’t buy junk anymore. I wish the seller luck. there’s another potential buyer behind me but if he is a jeep guy, he won’t be happy either. Keep on jeepin

Sorry to hear that Chris. It sure looked like it had potential in the photos.

Sorry little brother, I was excited for you. That’s a long way to drive. Keep looking, remember the good ones…the kids are all graduated today. No more trips to Bozeman, Emily picked BSU…I’m excited about Erica getting her masters in Denver, there’s a lot of jeeps in Colorado!!!

Really!!! If you have lived in Minnesota long enough you will not find a good jeep body anywhere unless it was moved here. we have lots of available running gear laying around that is still good or fixable so when you a 60 year old jeep for sale it’s never going to be like a California jeep since that is what the owner believes they have it priced at. There are a lot of turn key jeeps available now with out the hassle of restoring them that is one a person should buy.
