Craig’s friend Mario put his jeep to use this weekend moving some hay bales.

    Very cool!allways good to see jeeps being used.is that some type of bale pickup on the right side of the trailer?I would be interested in seeing closer pics.

    the equipment in the background is a ‘bale buncher’ used to drag around to collect bales of hay…(google it)

    not attached to trailer…the bales are widely scattered around the field so the bale buncher is dragged (usually by a tractor) to collect many bales of hay…when it’s full, the driver pulls a rope that’s attached to a lever on the back of the buncher…as he drives, the load of bales is allowed to slide off in a ‘bunch’ and he continues on to collect another bunch
    ..the bales then can be loaded by hand onto the trailer…you move the trailer from bunch to bunch instead of chasing around the field to pick up individual bales…

    That’s what I thought.My experience with baling hay or straw involved
    standing on the wagon behind the baler a stacking as you baled.Thanks for the info. Craig!
