Could be a good buy, but bring a 6 volt batter with you to test the engine.

“This is one of several vehicles I am getting rid of. Too old and too tired to tackle all the projects I have and the better half is adamant I thin the herd. 1948 model CJ2A with a soft top. It’s all there and it runs fine. It is still 6v but needs a battery (I have the one that was in it when I parked it but it has gone dead since). Some idiot welded a small diameter 70’s steering wheel to the steering shaft, but I have an original wheel and shaft to replace it.

Brakes are out thanks to the dogs chasing chipmunks under the car but should be easy enough to bring back to life. Only other thing is that someone installed over-arched springs on it without extending the drive shaft. It runs fine like this but I would either rotate the rear axle pumpkin to lessen the angle and/or extend the drive shaft. My plan was to go back to original springs…

It has a CJ3A windshield assembly installed but a correct windshield unit (including the vacuum wiper and good glass) are included in the sale. I also have a couple of tailgates and an additional hood if the buyer wants them.

Anyway, this is a good solid Jeep for restoration or drive as is. Might be interested in a trade up or down for the right item(s).”

This DOES seem like a good deal. Hope an eWillys reader gets it and reports back.

This jeep DOES stand out among the listings…..and just looks “right” to me. If it were closer, I would definitely take a look at it for my first cj experience!
