Hand throttle? Is that even safe?
Check out the vintage lawn chairs: is that a helicopter seat belt harness?
    Interesting… to say the least.
I’m glad to hear titles are easy to get somewhere.

I guess it depends on what the seller means by hand throttle? When I was twelve I had a go-kart. The throttle cable broke while I was driving it near my friend’s house (yes, I drove it around the neighborhood to get to my friend’s house, but that was back in the good old days). To fix the throttle, I rigged up a string, tying a knot to the broken cable. Satisfied with fix, I drove it around some dirt roads, until I was ready for a brake.

On my return to my friend’s house I was traveling down a dirt hill at full speed and began to swing into my friend’s garage, so I let off on the string, but the go kart didn’t decelerate (the knot got stuck, keeping the engine running full blast). I froze with the go-kart heading straight into the garage. All I remember seeing were plate glass windows (just the glass) arranged along the rear of the garage. I figured things were going to end BADLY.

The next thing I knew I was sitting in the motionless go-kart, the engine was off, and I was point toward the front of the garage. I don’t remember how it happened, but somehow my right front wheel hit wood blocks holding up a project car sitting on the right side of the garage. It was not something I aimed to hit, but my wheel hit it just enough to spin me around and somehow that shut off the engine. I was shaking so bad I couldn’t stand up.

I’ve had two crazy things in my life that I just can’t explain. That was one experience.
The second happened in New York City when I was 18 and it is just too surreal that I am not sure what to think.

Needless to say, I don’t use ropes or hand controls on ANY vehicles, lol.
