Interesting location of the spare tire, seems like it would be in the way of the driver when getting in or out of the Jeep.
The spare tire would give the driver some extra side protection.
That pic epitomizes “cold”… in fact I think if you look up “frigid” in your Funk and Wagnals, THAT’S the picture! What a great, iconic photo 🙂
It is an amazing picture!I agree Paul,and it looks like the shovel handle is held behind the spare.The jeep has a machine gun,and looks like it has a lot of weight in the back.I am also curious about the background buildings.The closest one has stable like door with top panel open.
