Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
There are plenty of interesting, unusual, historic and surprising stories related to Jeeps and their owners. In addition, some of these features have nothing to do with jeeps. This link will display all featured stories starting from the latest.
Looking for parts and not sure where to go? There are a variety of large and small new and used parts sellers both online and offline.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

I like this jeep. Comes with a lot of items that help out with value and I believe the motor has been rebuilt. Very solid. I’d like to have it. Lots of money but find another one that solid with all the parts
Is it just me or is this the 3rd time this has been sold in 2 yrs?
Same person trying to sell it. Started at $10,000 then shot up to $13,500 now back to $10,500.
Sounds like you’re convincing yourself to get this one, Chris !?
Good luck on getting it if do 🙂
I even like the condition of the original paint… perfect patina.
BTW, is this still column shift?
Funny how some jeeps stick in my brain and some don’t. This one I don’t remember from last time.
Too bad it wasn’t a 45 , nice Jeep !!!
So why is a California black plate worth anything to anyone out side of California ?
WOW!
Has anybody seen this in person to know if it has the original drivetrain?
Yeah,Im only gonna guess at this but I cant imagine its anything but the original drive train.looks to nice and original to be any different
I’ve tried contacting the seller and he quit responding to me. I offered him his asking price if all the numbers match. Maybe he just doesn’t want to sell it.
Was $10,500.
I went to check this jeep out in person.
– The frame is immaculate.
– The tub is in great shape with an amateur repair done on driver’s rear corner. Looks like someone backed into something and tried to repair with filler. It can be cleaned up though. If it wasn’t for the repair and added taillights this tub would be close to perfect
– The hat channels are very solid as well as the floors. Windshield frame is great (needs passenger glass).
– Hood, fenders, tailgate and grill are all great. Water temp gauge is aftermarket and taillights aren’t original.
– Motor sounds wonderful, probably the best Lhead I’ve heard. Everything shifts like it should and drives.
– brakes work
– has a few parts in a box that can be put back on like generator splash shield, crankshaft pulley shield, etc.
– has the original jack
– All seat frames are there and solid. Has all bows in nice shape. Has a king seeley governor (missing carb linkage). Complete rear pto with shield and drum pulley.
– Needs all new tires. Solid disk wheels are correct.
– Someone removed the fuel tank and painted green. T
– The owner purchased it for $4500 years ago and will not move much on price. Nice guy but he doesn’t like dealing with flaky people and messing with a bunch of pictures.
– the title is still in the name of the previous CA owner and has the engine block number on it instead of the serial number.
– dash tag, serial number tag, body tag, and frame tag all match. 20xxx jeep
In my opinion, this is a very solid jeep and can be taken to the next level real easy or leave as is. The jeep by itself is worth at least $7500. The value comes from the governor, rear pto with shield and drum pulley, bows, rear seat, correct wheels, great drivetrain and body. It’s a lot of money but I always say find me another one in this condition.
Hey little brother, please try to be more specific and take your time when describing some of this stuff on ewillys. OMG, just go buy the dang thing! You’ve been in love with this flattie for over a year. It’s almost like you are dating this jeep! And oh ya, I want a ride…
I’ve been trying to work a deal on it but I’m in the military and I’m stuck in Okinawa. I guess he doesn’t believe I’m real…who can blame him.
If I were any closer Chris you wouldnt have to worry about it any more!!! It would be on a trailer ,on its way back to my place. Someone just pay the man so we can all stop thinking about it’!!!!
Dave on Okinawa,
Having been in the military stationed overseas myself, I’d bet you can find someone in your unit with immediate family living near this jeep. Work with them (your extended military family) to deal with this seller in person… just a thought 🙂
Now I feel like an idiot. I actually have a buddy from that area. Thanks.
Lol Dave … been there and been that (been an idiot that is) … we don’t think any less of you 🙂
Thanks.? I think I have a deal locked on.
I thought I had a deal. Somebody bought it out from under me. Hope it goes to a good home and doesn’t end up restored.
Wow bummer Dave !!! Sorry to say it wasn’t me ,way out of my neck of the woods. I wonder who it could have been?
A gentleman out of Wisconsin purchased this jeep. He’s an honest man and has every intention of keeping this jeep stock and uncut. In fact, he’s hired me to go through the jeep and make everything correct but keeping it all original. I’ll be replacing cracked glass, tires, etc. The owner was very persistent on taking the first cash. The new owner was not aware of any deals or definitely wasn’t trying to buy it out from anyone. He’s been looking for a jeep like this for years and he’ll finally be able to enjoy it with his family. I’m just glad that the jeep will be respected and used.
Thanks for the update Chris!
Same here.
