UPDATE: Price dropped to $7000.

(10/22/2016) It runs. The seller doesn’t know much about it, but understands it isn’t original.

“My apologies I am not an expert on what I am selling! This is a 1943 Willys Jeep with some modifications. A family member recently passed away and this Willys Jeep was his project. The jeep runs great and is a lot of fun to drive. As you can see from the pictures there are non-original items like the steering wheel assembly and the diamond plating. I have the title. It’s been garage kept. I can’t tell you much more than that. I will be happy to answer any questions you have (if you tell me how to find it on the jeep) and/or take more pics, whatever information you need.”

This looks like steal diamond plate, not aluminum, maybe 1/4′” 1/8″ thick. I can’t imagine how one would get all the proper bends to meet body contours. Amazing piece of work, I admire all the hard labor that went into it, just don’t know why anybody would want to do it.

If I may add to my last post, this has a hanging driver side fender mounted turn signal, just posted a short story on this subject yesterday. Knowing this, If Jimmy the Greek were alive today, what would the “odds” be of a Willys picture of the very same example I mentioned showing up? I think this is a good OMEN…
