Jerry was having some fun the other day. He writes, “Took this picture the other morning and added the caption “Why soar like an Eagle when you can drive two of the coolest Jeeps on the planet?””

He then noted, “The  MB was overheard asking the JK8 — “Who’s you Grand Daddy?””

I suspect it’s a mix of parts. The body looks like a replacement rather than an M-38 (no battery box lid on the cowl). It also doesn’t have the correct hinges on the grille and frame for an M-38.

Dave’s description of a “mix of parts” is most accurate. The frame and title indicate a 1944 MB which has been rebodied, also has a drop down tailgate and no fuel filler on the left side. It clearly has a mixed pedigree but is a fun Military styled parade Jeep and not a purist restoration. The 50.cal replica is from International Replica Arms Co. (IRAC) and has simulated fire set up with propane and oxygen.
