“1947 CJ2A project
This is just to see if there is any interest. I am in no rush to sell, but if someone is willing to meet my asking price it is all yours.
The Good:
1947 CJ2A frame and axles. Both in good usable condition. Rear axle is the hard to find offset axle and the frame has had the spring hangers removed and relocated to allow for longer and stronger YJ springs. **softer ride with more articulation**
Brand new wheels with 4.5″ backspacing and used 33” mud terrains with a little tread left.
1994 5.7L LT1 from a Cadillac Fleetwood, ran before I pulled it. New aluminum bellhousing and dual disc clutch.
1978 Ford T-18 4 speed transmission that was completely rebuilt recently.
Jeep CJ5 D-18 twin stick transfer case that was also recently rebuilt. New Novak adapters deep oil pan installed.
Novak Adapters adapter to mate the T-18 to the D-18 ($500).
Custom sheet metal hard top.
New windshield frame.
The Bad:
Body is rough. All of floorboard has been removed and there are multiple pinhole rust spots throughout. Fenders and grill are not bad though.
Drivetrain is not connected. Everything needed is there but I have not mated anything and the bellhousing needs to be machined to mate up to the Ford T-18 (Novak brackets were purchased and are included).
No title. I have the I.D. plates and a bill of sale from the previous owner.
No glass
This has been a two-year project for me but my work schedule has prevented me from working on it the last few months. I have already spent way more than my asking price on the drivetrain and the rebuilds alone. Feel free to ask any questions. $1000.”
