“I have a 1950’s Willy’s Jeep Koenig Twin Stick Model 40 PTO, ID number WO48-202, WO48-201. It’s completely froze up. However appears to be complete. $150 firm.”

    I’ve freed up many of these. The Koenig model 40 is for truck and wagon. The model 50 or 58 is for cj. The rear has to be selected to run the front so on this model it’s either the rear only spinning or the front and rear at the same time

    I never understood the design mentality that would not allow independent use of the front or back. It can be independent to the rear, why not make it that way to the front too as long as you’re designing it. I have one of these waiting to be mounted. Thinking that a PTO on the rear and a winch on the front were the most common installations, I wonder why you’d think it a good idea to run the PTO at the same time you were using the winch. Am I missing something or does anybody have deeper knowledge?

    Hey Lew , Ted here. I think they were counting on front winch being put into free wheeling or neutral position while rear pto is being used. Atleast that’s what I’ve done in the past with different setups that had the twinstick running multiple implements. With any luck one end of the jeep usually can be disngaged
