It looks like an entry/exit for rear passengers has been cut into passenger side.
“CJ6 jeep in original condition with 4cyl,3spd manual with pto winch……good project or parts jeep….. was rescued from west Texas ranch but never had time to restore…… has been driven within last few years…. make reasonable offer”
If the right side entry is longer, could this be the M-151 field ambulance? It was based on the CJ-6. I had one passed along to a collector near Chicago. Would you have any more pictures? I could use a decent CJ-6 on my farm. Thanks
Brian, do you mean an M-170 field ambulance? There was also an M-151 ambulance called the M-718 (http://olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_m718.php).
It looks like the Craigslist ad has expired, so I have no way to contact the seller. I’ve updated the post. If I see the jeep relisted on craigslist i will send you and email.
I see no reason to think this was an M-170 as it has the marks of a CJ. For example, the cowl has the “JEEP’ logo and the grill is a CJ grille.
