“Getting ready for a big move and selling a few cars. See my other listing for a 79 F150 and a 73 Landrover Series 3.

Please keep in mind this Willy’s is a 47. That makes it 71 years old if my math holds up. It was built in a totally different era and to totally different standards. Then on top of that it had a few lifetimes worth of owners.

Having said that I feel this Jeep is in overall amazing running condition, looks great, and appears to have mostly original or period correct parts.

Mechanicly the Jeep is solid. I give it a solid 9 out of 10. Tops out around 50/55mph with no head wind. Best enjoyed under 45. I don’t hesitate to jump into it and drive it anywhere. We have some land out in the country and it’s like a goat. It starts right up and has a very smooth idle. All gears work and it shifts smooth. At idle you can’t hear the engine run. Drives straight and with no unusual vibration. Only issues are: Windshield wipers don’t work, brake pedal feels stiff, and the fuel gauge and Speedo are intermittent.

Tires are like new, all lights work, and it even has turn signals and a working horn. Steering feels tight and all linkages feel great. No idea on actual mileage.

Cosmetically the Jeep looks great. I would give it an 8 out of 10. It does have signs of fairly minor rust that for the most part has already been dealt with. The paint is fresher but has some imperfections here and there. Some related to previous repairs some just tied to the quality of these things when new. The seats are like new and fold. Fenders, windshield, hood, grill, etc are all solid.

Jeep is absolutely ready to be enjoyed as is. Keep up with maintnece and it will last another 71 years.

Please don’t waste my time and I won’t waste yours. I might be interested in a trade but it would have to be something really special as I am moving overseas and importing cars/bikes there is very difficult.”
