1953? M-38A1 Newport, NC $5500

This one had me scratching my head. First, it lacks a battery box lid on the cowl, so I thought it might be a CJ body, yet it also lacks “Jeep” on the sides, so probably not a CJ-5 body. The rear bumper suggests it is the USMC variant of the M-38A1. I”m guessing the body has been rebuilt.

Very interesting. Either way it’s a back yard Bubba Job. Note: No lines on rear area for Cj5 tailgate or M38a1 cutouts. I’ve seen some very smooth cover up BONDO JOBS. I’m going with the DEVALUED M38a1 BUBBA JOB. $500 tops.
