Just a Couple Updates for Thursday

Just a couple updates for Thursday.

I’ve been completing the set up of my 6 year old new-to-me MacBook Pro 15″ laptop computer, so that distracted me from updates yesterday. My 8 year old 17″ MacBook Pro laptop encountered screen problems after three years of use (I bought it NOS in 2016 as a backup … the failing screen is a known issue, but I’m past the warranty), so I had to return to my 10 year old 17″ MacBook Pro laptop, which is still doing pretty well (except for a stiff touch pad and just a tad slow), until I could get my new-to-me laptop up and running. Now, I can turn to fixing my 8 year old laptop for a backup computer.

You know, that’s pretty much how I feel about my body. Its had a few setbacks, but running pretty good now. New body parts help a lot so maybe you can get a couple of new computer parts and get it working better. It may never be as good as new, but not just “limping” along either.

Mom: The 2010 (oldest one) is pretty near warn out (wrote all three books on that), but the 2011 model still has some life. I plan to get that fixed now that I have the 15″ up and running.

No shame it that. I’m just glad the computer will handle the site. The front page is a pretty big load!

My biggest issue is that all my software I use for image manipulation is from circa 2010. I have to use older computers so I can run the software. Otherwise, it would cost me some serious cheddar to upgrade my software applications!

my 48 model 4wd willys overland truck — has no computer — I looked the other day — nothing under the dash — or under the hood — zilch — I spotted a small black box on the firewall — opened it up — it was the voltage regulator contact points — probably the most complex electrical item on the truck — no fuses — cloth covered wires — no turn indicators — brake light quit working back in 76 ? — no computer I can find — air/fuel stoichiometric ratio is handled by the ( replaced ) carter yf CARBURETOR — no computer I can find — I repeat — NO *** DAMN STINKING COMPUTER !!! — thank you baby jesus ..
