1956 Koenig Brochure for the DJ-3A Dispatcher

• CATEGORIES: Advertising & Brochures, DJ-3A, Features

This was a surprising find. Bulletin 256 by Koenig touted add-ons for the DJ-3A. I can’t imagine many DJ-3A owners purchased a winch. I can’t think of any DJ-3As that I’ve seen with a body extension either.

Great Find Dave! Don’t think we’ve seen this previously. Looks like it must have been done in 1956 as ” Fit The New Basic Jeep Dispatcher” is in the description.

Yes, and who would expect a “winch” and/or a “body extension” on a DJ? As the saying around DJs goes… “Never say Never”.

I too thought this was a great one. My thoughts exactly. I’m suspect Koenig created the brochure thinking of the Dispatcher as just another jeep. But, the company must have quickly realized that it was a waste of money to market their products (apart from a hardtop) to the DJ-3A market.
