There’s something off about this one. Looks like Willys body on top of some other chassis. Anybody else get that vibe of this one?
Got the same vibe. Sits pretty high. But it’s green and has stars so…..
Make that three of us … I also got that same feeling. It looks like the rear shackle connects at the top of the arch (similar to an MB), but the shock angles backward slightly. That’s certainly custom. The rear axle does sit back of where it ought to be. Why the rear shock was altered I couldn’t say.
Having puzzled through putting a flat fender body on a later model CJ-5, this body could be sitting on a 70s CJ-5 chassis with the body raised and moved forward so that the front clip didn’t have to be extended. That would explain why it looks like it looks a little lifted and why the front is tilted upward, as the grille would be sitting on the front arch to some degree.
