You had a story on this now out of print book feb 22 ’13. Starting price does seem within market value which could push $200. And this one is a Limited, numbered ed. A reputable pc of work.

Wow! I was fortunate that someone on G503 had discovered an original box of these five years ago and I picked one up quite reasonably. IMO a useful book, but not comprehensive enough to really go through a military jeep with sufficient detail to identify all the incorrect items. I am in awe at what Dave and some of you readers can identify from a couple of pictures in an ad.

Barney, … Thanks! …. I guess I should amend my post comment to read, “I forgot I knew anything about this book” 🙂

John, there are still things I miss on the MBs and GPWs. There’s just so much to know; it doesn’t help that I haven’t worked on either type of vehicle.

Yes, the price is about right.
The box of these that appeared 5 years ago was because a noted GPW expert bought the remaining inventory and the research notes from the Nabholtz Estate. I’ve seen a letter from John Conde at AMC Public Relations to Nabholtz recognizing him as ‘the expert’ in WWII Military Jeeps.

The book is very good, and it is filled with detective work from photographs from the national archive.

I was the only bidder on this book, so I guess we know it’s worth $125 to someone. Had wanted on in our library for sometime.
