“Not much of her past is known, but our Owner is a collector of all things rolling and he had a goal when building this CJ. Give her a punch of power, address the challenges and bring a beauty to the show. Brand new steel tub and frontend assembly were required. Paint scheme was selected, and the rebuild began. Finished, she’s show ready and just stunning. Located in Sindey, Nebraska, she has a clear and clean title in our Owner’s name.

Purchased in 2012 locally, she was believed to be a long term resident of the Mid-West. Time took its toll, so a spanking new all-steel body was acquired and painted a stunning green with white flame accents. And when you paint a Jeep, you pretty much paint everything. Never used off-road, her 10 yr old finish is bright and beautiful.

CJ’s are pretty simple. Black vinyl seats are reconstructed and simple in their customization. Gauges are straight up Willys and the odo shows 30k miles. They function properly, as do all other simple accessories, thanks to new Painless wiring. There is no back seat but an original WWII large ammo box. It’s the tasteful touch of memorabilia that really stages the entire build, custom and subtle, done right.

Powered by a small block Chevy of 283 cid, the little V8 is warm but not overpowering. All running gear is era-correct: T-90 three-speed manual transmission, two-speed twin stick select 2/4 wd transfer case (note – front driveline is not installed at this time), Dana 41 (reported) rear and 27 at the front. New springs were installed during the rebuild, servicing was completed on all mechanicals, and the engine was reviewed and refreshed during the top end removal/install.

This car is being auctioned on a new classic car auction site. We provide a 3rd party inspection, professional photos and a walk around video – See the auction here – https://www.clasiq.com/auction/1946-willys-cj-2a/”
