Sorry for the dumb question but how can you tell that its a CJ body? I dont see a tailgate so I figured it was Ford.

    Hi Allen,

Not a dumb question at all. CJ-2A, 3A, 3B, and DJ-3A bodies all had drain holes on the driver and passenger sides (near the step). These bodies also lacked a glove box in the dash.

Meanwhile, MB, GPW and M-38 bodies do not have them. But, nearly all (some early mb slat grilles did not have them) do have a glove box (one style on MB GPWs and one style on the M-38 bodies, which also exists on many early reproduction bodies, but that’s a whole other topic).

If you look at pics #3 and #4 you can see the drain hole on the passenger side. Also, this body lacks any type of glove box.

This body also has soft top braces at the rear corners, something military bodies did not have.

I hope that helps. Feel free to ask additional Qs.

Those items and the OHV engine, the side fuel fill (and tank), no tool indents, the ribs on the wheel wells and the headlights are all wrong (no hinges)! But, it’s probably still worth 7K to someone!
