UPDATE: Price dropped to $2000.

(03/03/2024) TJ shared this M-38 (thought title reads CJ-3A), nicknamed Colonel Mustard. It’s got some updated running gear, along with a some other mods, including a metal hood that reminds me a little of a Bobcat fiberglass hood.

“Meet colonel mustard. Title says it’s a 1953 CJ3A. I had plans for this Jeep but honestly have too many Jeeps. The previous owner did a in line 6 swap with a later model syncro’d 3 speed transmission. It also has a later model open knuckle big brake Dana 30. It currently has an offset Dana 44 with a Dana 18 transfer case. It will come with an additional Dana 20 transfer case and centered Dana 44 rear to complete the more modern drivetrain. The body is in remarkable shape for its age. There are no rust holes and I believe it’s the original floor. This is a perfect starter project. It has what I assume is a 2.5-3 inch lift. It currently has 31s and will clear 33s. The engine ran when parked but has started a several years. Sad to see it go but it needs a new home”

My M38 is also titled as a 3A the state of Washington had to find something in KBB to charge sales tax.

I just checked my Washington registration, the state does have mine as a M38A1!
    They abbreviated Willys as Wlls…

I don’t understand the seller’s comment, “but honestly have too many Jeeps” ??? 🤔🧐
    That does not compute 😉.
But seriously, it seems like a good price for a cool project 😎.
