“completely solid MC M38 Army jeep, not a look alike. these were the direct decedent of the MB WWII JEEP, used during the Korean War and Vietnam, they were replaced by the M38A1 and M151. converted to 12volt. many new parts with mild restoration. runs drives great. you will see many willys for sale out there, but this is the real deal. $10500 cash or possible partial trade for something equally as cool. Bill of sale only as Georgia does not issue titles for vehicles this old, it is licensed and insured in my name. NO CARS, NO JUNK.”
UPDATE: Was $12,000. **Status Unknown**
Looks parade ready.

(09/10/2014) The front end has been updated with a hitch.
“I’m helping my grandpa sell his Vintage Army Jeep. It’s in superb condition for its age, still runs like a champ, and 4×4 works great! 1951 M38 Willys US Army Jeep. It has low miles on the original engine, because it was used by a Commanding General, HQ1. It has a 2.2L four cylinder engine, manual locking hubs, 3 speed manual transmission, and a 2 speed transfer case. The vehicle only has 59,xxx original miles on it! 45,473 M38’s were built from 1950-1952, who knows how many are still drivable. Serious inquires only. This hasn’t been a beater hunting rig. It has been well taken care of. It’s a Classic! If you want to own and drive away with a piece of American History give me a call.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000
(10/20/2014) Other than the bent bumper, it looks solid.

Alpha Mav spotted this craiglist ad under the farm & garden section. Solid looking M-38.
“1951 Willys Military Model 38. This jeep is in excellent condition with no rust on the body. The transmission is tight-shifting and will not pop out of second gear. The five tires are in great condition and has a hard top and doors. A tow bar and bows for a soft top are included.”
That defroster is new to me. Is that aftermarket?
