(04/10/2023) John shared this early CJ-2A. It’s had a few updates, but the indents and column shift are still there. There has been some body work (such as the elimination of the spare tire carrier mounting holes), along with new paint. If the underside on this is solid, it may well be worth a look at this price. I don’t impinge it would take too much to bring this back to stock.

This was listed at $4800, but that price has been crossed out. Perhaps the seller is taking offers? The front suspension setup is unusual. It appears a bump stop has been added to the rear of the springs, replacing the shackles. It also looks like some kind of block or wedge sits between the springs and the axle.

“Complete frame up restoration project that is very close to being finished. It came from California and is extremely solid. It was taken down to bare metal and there was not a spot of rust anywhere. A skim coat, block, primer, block seal, and painted gray. It’s a 46 CJ2A with CJ5 running gear that has overdrive so it will have no trouble running the freeway. Has a chevy 350. Lot’s of new parts. Part’s alone cost more than the asking price. I have the windshield frame and windshield for it. its painted black. I will not respond to is this still available. Located in napavine Washington. “Selling my 1946 cj2a. Hate to sell it but I got another one which is as good as I ever hoped for this one to be. It was used as a plow jeep for many years before I bought it I’ll start with the good Runs and drives very well, engine sounds amazing. The body has many patches but the floors are solid. It has a previous registration and plates but no title. Depending on when it sells I might include a spare frame for extra. The half cab is solid and are hard to come by. It comes with a complete plow setup that I know for a fact works. Cons The frame needs a patch before I’d recommend even yard driving it. One of the rear left leaf spring mounts rotted through the frame, the last owner never told me that before driving 6 hours to buy it. The brake lines are all there, unsure if theyre even hooked up, but the brakes don’t work. It’s currently hooked up to an auxiliary gas tank in the bed but I will be including a plastic one. 2700 obo, negotiable in person only, no I’m not parting it out”

“For Sale – 1946 CJ2A Willys with clear Title. $14,500.00 It is 100% original. This has been completely disassembled, sandblasted and rebuilt. Frame was sandblasted, Por 15 Primer used before painting. Tub is original and has American Made repair parts. No Juan MD or and foreign parts are on the Willys. Transmission, Transfer Case, Front and Rear Differential have been rebuilt. Engine was rebuilt at a previous time. Engine starts right up and runs smooth and uses no oil at all. New Leaf Springs, Brakes, Brake Lines, Tires and Wheels are original and have been sandblasted and Powder Coated. New Seats and Cushions. All the gauges are reproduction American Made. The Speedometer is original but does not work (you will not break the speed limit). Much more that I cannot remember it all.
I do have a Snow Plow that is original for the Willys CJ2A. It is located in Washington State and can be easily retrieved.
This is a reliable, fun Willys to go around the mountain roads of Montana or anywhere else. I always get the High 5 or Thumbs up when I am out and about.

“1948 CJ2A Jeep it is in go devil run ready condition with its original 134ci flat head engine. It has a modern high torque starter and 12v alternator, Front and rear differential lockers, front axle has early WARN locking hubs and has been upgraded to spicer u-joint axle shafts. The Jeep also has a WARN overdrive. The brakes have been upgraded to 11in self adjusting drums from a 70/80 Cj, 3/16th plate rock sliders and step reinforcements, all lights work, large shaft Dana 18, m38 folding rear seat, has 5 new 7.00×16 proper biasply tires. This Jeep has been on many trips in the last few years, been used as a daily driver in the summer and has done lots of back road driving with my family.

The CJ-2A’s body is wood from a Sears & Roebuck kit. Seems we have run across one of those kits before.
“Package deal of tona of parts and three Willy’s Jeeps. One ’47 CJ2A (white) complete but half the body is a plywood kit from Sears Roebuck. No title. Engine has lots of rust but repairable with a hot tank and time. Needs work but good frame and lots of good parts, or make it run again if you want.
One ’47 CJ2A just the body have the windshield, fenders, grille, seats, tailgate, and other metal for it.
And one ’50 CJ3A complete with title runs and drives but has bad tires, no brakes, no steering (the front crossmember is busted off, planned to chassis swap with the white 2A.) Grille is unbolted as is left fender to work on car. Has new starter and new ignition parts. Runs like a top stock fuel pump even works.
Planned to use the running gear from green one, body of the tub and parts, and chassis from the white one to make one nice stock jeep easily then use the remaining parts to build the remaining parts into crawlers or something fun.
Parts include:
Engine block in good shape will need cleaned up, cranks, cams, pistons, rods, oil pans, transfer cases, I think transmission, drive shafts, radiator, tons of body metal such as hoods fenders doors windshields (including glass) tailgates, parts to put a canvas top on, basically three entire jeeps worth of parts including lots of new parts worth ~450 from Kaiser Willy’s with receipt.
May split stuff. Yes the VW stuff is for sale too.

Listed as a 1948, the body appears to be a VEC, probably ’46. It has an early grille, too.
