Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I do not have the time to finish rebuilding my 46 jeep so I am selling it. This jeep has been completely taken apart for a frame off restoration. The body was shot so I had a new heavy guage body custom bent and cut out. The floor pan is 11 gauge steel and the rest of the body panels are 16 gauge steel. I sandblasted the entire frame inside and out. It has 3 coats of rustoleum primer with 3 coats of rustoleum black paint. The new body panels are bare metal and not rusted. I have several original body parts such as windshield, hood, firewall, grille, tailgate and front fenders. I have 2 complete hurricane 4cyl. motors. One motor has a bad cylinder. Neither one has run for over 10 years as this jeep was stored in a garage since the 60’s. I have extra complete front and rear axles with leaf springs also. I will not part out any parts except the extra axles. This jeep is currently stripped down to the frame and ready to start reassembly. This is mainly a package deal. Please call with any questions. (06/28/2013) One rough jeep and other parts.
“1948 jeep willys cj2a. ran about 3 years ago but has been parked since. Chevy small block. tons of extras almost enough to make a second jeep including:
*some parts are military*
New windshield
New padding and upholstery for seats
tub (blue in picture) existing one has some rust
frame
2 grills”
This has the tool indents, column shift, and the squared bolts for the bow holders, but lacks the full floaters it should have if it is a ’45. Maybe the rear end was replaced?

The whole body has been treated with Rhino Lining,Top and Bottom – forever tough.I’m selling this for a good friend of mine.He has had it for about five years,and only uses it for a yearly parade in Rossville IL. It lives it the garage the rest of the time. lol. It has the original motor and transmission. I started it right up to pull it out of the garage for the pictures.The speedometer doesn’t work. (06/06/2015) The turbo 400 tranny has pushed the transfercase back a ways. That rear driveline must not be very long.

1944 CJ2A, bought this a year ago to restore but just cant get the time because of traveling for work. I have two engines for it one will rotate the other I purchased for the accessories and the Supersonic head that was on it. Pretty Firm on the Cash price but am willing to maybe trade for hunting tools. Just let me know what you have and text a pic. I do not have a title on the Willys but will provide a bill of sale so that a title 42 can be obtained.”
