“1946 Jeep Willy’s project. Motor(L-134), trans(T-90) and transfer case(dana spicer 18) is good. Currently putting all new seals and bearings in transmission and transfer case. Was running when I started taking it apart for a restoration. Drivetrain/ Engine is stripped of rust/dirt and painted. I have old body that could be reused but is in rough shape. Frame is in good shape, needs cleaned up. I do not have a title, can give bill of sale. Would Be Willing to trade for a Jon boat, 50-100 hp outboard engine, or make cash offer. I have alot of time and money into this, I know I’ll never get that out of it but I’m not giving it away. Please make reasonable offer. Dont need to sell, just have other projects i would rather put the money into. Great father and son project, easy to work on and best of all… Most of the hard work is done!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1600.
(04/13/2015) Motor is out, but if the rust is as light as claimed it might warrant a closer look.
“1947 willys jeep, motor our an tore down for rebuild, paint good 95% great on rust!, $2400 obo or trade paragould ark,”
Has had some repairs. Can’t tell much from the pic.
“This Jeep was found 3 miles from my house and I’m the 3rd local owner. It is pretty much a survivor with not much having been modified over the years. (The original wood reinforced rails are still there in many places.) I got it running in 2005 and did a pretty extensive restoration. Metal work was repaired where needed and the transmission and transfer case were rebuilt. New brakes, lines, shocks, leaf springs, seals, fluids, etc. (Everything underneath was new as of then.) I had to find the seat pans, rear seat, and a much nicer windshield.
In 2013 the motor (flat head 4 cyl) was professionally rebuilt by Mac Weld in Carbondale. It should outlast the body. The radiator was re-cored also at this time. About 2 months ago, the original gas tank finally rusted through and was replaced with a new one along with new lines and I just installed a new carburetor.
This Jeep is as mechanically sound as you can get! I have some parts I can include. I also have a set of 16″ rims and a roll bar if interested.
Yes, I have a clean title.
No, not interested in trades.
Yes, I’ll take you for a ride.
No, not much else I can tell you about it but happy to discuss details if you are seriously interested.
Yes, it is a CJ2A not an MB.
Calls returned after 6 p.m.”
It doesn’t appear to have a windshield.

“48 jeep, original drive train, flat head 4cyl.,spring over axle conversion, needs brake work, runs good. Body was painted, floors were patched with metal but they could have been done better. Took on trade and don’t need it, I’m 6’5″ and can’t hardly sit in it. ”
The jeep has been sitting a while.
” have a1946 cj-2a jeep , I am the second owner of the jeep. I have a clear North Carolina title. The body is in good to fair condition with rust under the tub. I recovered all three seats and painted it 4 years ago. The motor runs great . It will need to have the breaks gone thru tho. I replaced the master cylinder but did not go through the drums or replace the lines. The plan was to restore the jeep but to many projects and no room for it now. Will consider trade on a 1. 6 motor or diesel air compressior. I have added more pictures to give a better look at the entire jeep. As you will see the tube has rust but considering it is a 1946 it ant that bad. The vin# is 75602 . I have not tried to get it running. It has been setting in my shop for the last four years. Again I will consider trade. The jeep is not running and has not been cranked in at least 5 years . Also I have four original wheels that go with the jeep.”
Creative way to solve the photo download issue.
“Pictures tell the story. 1948 willys, used to be a plow truck so the body’s rough but the engine well cared for. Lots of new and extra parts on / with it. Call for text Dan most anytime of the day for any and all questions. Come on down and take it for a spin your self. Bought as salvage from an old farmer so we have no title. Couldn’t get the pictures off my phone so if a clearer picture is needed just ask.
NOTE: as an MN plow truck it has a strong heater, tall tires, and a removable homemade cad unlike most for sale.
New, muffler, starter, battery, spring stacks, four box new shocks to be put on. Resent work, rewired electricals, reset timing, transmission fluid and caps replaced, points reset, homemade removable cad. Includes everything jeep related (anything I may have forgotten to list).”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800.
(11/02/2013) It’s a project.
“1947 jeep willys flattie. This is a project vehicle that has everything minus the engine. It is all setup to run a small block ford v8 in front of the c6 auto transmission, but i already sold the mustang motor that was in it. I started ground up restoration, taking the body off and sandblasting/painting the frame. Body is solid and virtually rust free (except some surface rust due to unfinished sanding and priming), as this was a southern tennesee vehicle. I have titled the vehicle in wisconsin, so no issues there. Basically an easy project to put back together as there isn’t much complication to these early jeeps. Flatfenders are getting harder to find in good condition, and this one is already all setup for a v8! Definayely will be one of a kind when finished. Asking 1800.00 or best offer, as I don’t have the time to finish.”
