“1) A nice solid completed 1946 cj-2a with a fresh professionally rebuilt dauntless Buick v 6, and it has power steering. Makes it extra easy to drive with plenty of power. Been my daily driver past couple years. $8500.00

2) This one is the best deal I think you will find, for a 1951 jeep, this one is in all parts and pieces, has a bare (looks new) very nice clean frame with the machine gun mount. Frame has been blasted and primed comes with a rusted (ruff) body that has the original ID tags to get it titled. Has leaf springs with stock axle, but does not have a paper title at this time, lost. But you should be able to get a Wisconsin title because it was last titled in Wisconsin. I have done that with a couple other autos that I had bought and restored, not that big of a deal (simple) and I can tell you how, if you don’t know or have never done it.

3) 1951 with the original frame that is mostly complete and original with rust (no rust holes seen) but nice. It has newer wider, higher geared axles, has no body but does have the paper title.

“I bought this old Jeep a while back and was never able to get the title to it so I’m moving on. It is a pretty solid old Willys with original drivetrain in it. Not running but not locked up either. Original gas tank is missing and looks like it was running on a boat gas tank sitting in the rear of the Jeep. It has a vehicle ID number and Jefferson City has no record of it on file.
I paid $1200 and that’s what I need to get, no less.”

“1946 Willys Jeep. Owned since 1984. Kept on farm to use as a farm vehicle up until 4 years ago. Parked it and haven’t used it since. Ran great when I turned it off. Just don’t need it anymore and don’t want to let it deteriorate any longer. Bought new frame for it five years ago when I was going to restore it. Great for restoration. Need pictures let me know. $1200 FIRM.”

UPDATE: Marc pointed out that the serial number of 451 GB1 28496 would make this a CJ-3A. More about CJ-3A serial numbers.

It doesn’t run and has no title. The bracket on the fender is unusual.

“This vintage 1948 Willys jeep is a GREAT buy. It does run. My father and I bought it to fix it up and make it a project but we have made different plans and are now wanting to sell it. Does not have a title because it has never been registered. I will provide documentation on how to obtain a title. “his jeep has been my project for several years but I just don’t have the money to finish it and I don’t think I will any time soon. It has a complete body and I have alot of parts I have collected for it over the years. The body is complete but not all the body parts are on it in the picture It has a transmission (non PTO) but no engine. It has the usual rust problems and the frame is no good but I have an extra frame as well as later model axles and springs that are heavier than the stock ones. I would like to get around 700 or 800 but feel free to make me an offer. All the stuff I have for it is worth about 400-500 just in scrap weight and the parts are probably worth over 700 but I don’t want to part it out. I would like to see it go to someone who w ill be able to finish it. I can send pics opon request. ”

(11/18/2013) “I have a 1948 willys cj2a for sale. I have had it for a couple years and been fixing it up to run around in, but don’t drive it that often. It has a new radiator, hoses, thermostat, carburetor, fuel pump, fuel tank, brake lines, shocks, tires, clutch and just has primer right now. Includes some seats but will need to be mounted in the passenger side. There is a few dings in the body but overall decent shape. It is a 3 speed shifts good and doesn’t kick out of gear 4wd and low/high both shift and work.”

“Alright CL, up for sale is my ’49 CJ2A. It’s got a 4 cylinder flat head and 3 speed tranny. Little background, I was given this by my grandfather a few years ago before he died, I had the intentions on making it a project for myself, but it’s just gonna take too long for me. It’s a restoration, not a project. Before I was given it he primarily used it around the property, my uncle told me he rebuilt the motor and tranny a few years before it was given to me. It doesn’t run now as i let it sit, i’m sure with new plugs, a carb cleaning and some fresh gas it will though. I always loved this thing so I’m not gonna let it go for dirt cheap, they’re not too easy to come by, but I also know it’s no museum peace,the body is pretty bad. Frame is surprisingly decent. No seats or seat brackets, when i first got it the seats were shot so I cut them out and planned on welding in new brackets for larger seats, but never did. It was always in a carport until last year when the snow destroyed it. Now it has multiple tarps over it. Look up what these go for, and make an offer.”
