Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Im selling my 1947 cj because of my upcoming college excursion, i love the jeep and i hate to see it go but it has to happen.ill take the best offer, or trade for an american carbed truck It has a complete plow setup,(frame,pump and blade) rare factory half cab, 2 trannys one is rebuilt, extra front fender, and a rebuilt 302 and everything you need to install it if you pay the right price,the motor is a 306 bored .030 over,new bearings,rings,ect. fresh gaskets and a performance comp cam (i will sell with out the motor) The tub is on the rougher side and will need floors, I have at least 4 and probably more good wheels. The frame rails are in good shape but the rear cross member will have to be replaced. I tried my best to give you all of the attributes and fall backs of this adorable jeep.”

This jeep is amazing. 454 big block with world heads (sounds way nasty) and has a 400 turbo automatic with quick shifter on the floor with a twin stick transfer case. Has full top to with doors. Also has hidden stereo with remote in tough lock box between seats with killer fosgate speakers below seats This Jeep might have 200 miles on it. I have a stack of receipts over 15k of parts with no labor. Hundreds of hours of labor. The quality of this jeep belongs in a car show. $15,800 If you see this rig in person you will buy it! If you are serious call if not don’t waste my time or yours.”

This has the ‘Fresno’ modified windshield. The passenger side tank inlet is unusual. The body is fiberglass.
(04/23/2013) “Project Jeep, Fiberglass body, fenders and hood – no grill . Comes with second stronger CJ3A frame, also comes with 4.3 liter Chevy V6, T90 transmission, ands D18 transfer case. Everything’s here for a nice small Jeep.
Please be aware there are two spots over the rear fender wells and one over the cowl that need some fiberglass repair. If you’ve ever done body work with Bondo this isn’t much different. Please contact me with any questions and I’ll respond as quickly as possible.
Does not have title, but can supply bill of sale. This vehicle has been off the books in California for more than 25 years. Comes with VIN plates. If you’re affraid of doing a little paperwork with your local DMV then this isn’t the Jeep for you. Priced lower, because I don’t have the time.

“I have a 47 cj2a with the flat head 4cyl, 3 speed and dana 18 t-case. The tub has some rust, but the frame is super solid. The tub is removed for some bodywork. The jeep was running and driving before the tub was removed. The motor runs like a top, trans shifts smooth, 4wd works. Has spoke wheels with 31″ tires, very deep agressive tread. Could be a trail jeep or lots of good parts. No title. I will sell the jeep for $1000 cash obo or will trade for a set of 6 lug chevy wheels with 35″ tires or bigger or an s-10 for parts, not running, no title, no worries. “1946 Willys CJ2a 12 Hours on fresh build engine all NOS parts used on original go devil engine. The tub is rusty but frame is in good condition, tires are in good condition no dry rot and have the original spare tire, brake pads just replaced an has new battery (less than week old). She runs great and can be driven on the road with no problems.”

Larry wanted to share some pictures of his jeep family. Their newest jeep is his wife’s new Grand Cherokee. To make room for a MB he wants, Larry is selling the maroon CJ-2A. I don’t have any more information on a price just yet.
