(06/13/2011) “For sale a 1946 Willys Jeep that is in good condition. Has the original 4 cyl. engine, but has been converted over to a 12 volt system. Has a next to new custom fully enclosed soft top. The Jeep comes with a full set of street tires, and a full set of mudding tires. The Jeep was purchased by my folks to use for road hunting grouse, and they have owned it for a couple of years but no longer use it. Please note, although this Jeep is licensed and does have a title, it only goes a maximum of 45 mph on the highway. It was designed for off highway use. It does have a removable tow bar on the front, and heavy duty hitches on the back.”

This looks solid, though there’s been some work on this body.
“1947 Jeep Willys asking $4000 or BEST OFFER. Runs Good. Original 4 cylinder motor.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1200.
For the price this looks good, but either the step has been altered or it is a fiberglass body.
“1946 Willys for sale. Body good condition.”

“1946 Jeep Willys. Engine upgraded to 1966 289 out of a Mustang or Fairlane. Starts, runs strong, but carb needs to be rebuilt. Converted to 12V DC. Converted to power brakes. Front Winch Bumper with tow-brace. Built in capstan winch in bed connected to power-take off, so runs directly off the 289. Rear bumper is a tow bumper with tow-truck grade fairlead welded to the factory original angle iron bumper. Has built in air compressor tank and system. New Radiator. New Master Cylinder. Brake lines are cracked, wheel cylinders are frozen, so needs complete brake job. Does have rust, have original seat frames, driver’s side failed due to rust. Have Title. Been a project for me, but moving so would like to sell.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000
(01/03/2012) This appears solid.

This looks solid, however the floors are fiberglass.
“I have a 1948 CJ2A tub in pretty good condition. It was restored about 8 years ago but now has a few minor issues that need a little bit of work. The floors are all fiberglass so you could cut that out and replace the floor pans. Other that that it’s a really good start! It even has the original AX brackets still on the tub!

The frame is in excellent shape . . .
“i have for sale a 1948 jeep cj2a, when the jeep was purchased it did hot have any body, since then pieced one together, the welding is almost complete, needed the rear floor pan completed, the rear rocker and the original dash re installed. the engine was running in the fall haven’t tried starting it but have turned it over, befor i had it the jeep was being used to plow with during the winter, that being said the frame is in excellent shape, had pressure washed the whole thing. to inspect it.
All the id tags are matching.
have other various parts for it.
comes with a factory plow set up that works.”
The grille suggests this is a mid-1947 or later. I suspect this jeep is a mix of parts or mix of title/vin plate and jeep.
“title says 48 but numbers say 46, runs good has the L134 flathead 4 cylinder. also have soft top for it. starts and runs fine with a couple small things that need attention, such as the starter doesent always engage but will and starts fine. has exhaust leak where the manafold meets the exaust but have new gasket just havent done it yet. anyway come by and drive it, its fun. im looking for a sportster or a triumph that are in good running order. they dont have to be perfect just running good. 594-zero51three”
Lots of custom work for this nice fiberglass crawler. I doubt there is much ’48 left. The body appears to be a Bobcat.

The pics are tiny.
“1946 Willys jeep needs to be restored. In very good shape for project and many parts too.1500.00 or best cash offer 252-229-three 525”
This has a fiberglass body. The gas inlet and windshield could stand to be altered slightly (which wouldn’t be trivial changes).
“1947 Lifted Willys Jeep Brand New Engine Rebuild (Original L Head) Block was Bored 60 Over with a complete Engine Rebuild Kit ,Great Condition has Fiberglass Body , , 2″ Lift Leaf Springs , New 32″ Mud Tires , Complete front suspension (tie rods , steering Ect..) This jeep has a military body and parts on a CJ frame of some vintage. The body looks pretty sound though. The engine needs to be reinstalled.
“Willys MB jeep that was used in military parades and reinactments in the 80’s and early 90’s, I guess. It sat inside until about 4 years ago. I bought it and drove it some, but it smoked badly. I completely rebuilt the flathead Willys and has new carb and distributor, etc. The engine is still on the stand. I am going to try and sell it as it is. It has correct tires in good shape, rifle rack, siren, cat eyes, shovel/ax/jerry can. Has canvas top and doors that I have never unfolded and may or may not be deteriorated. $3000 cash.”
UPDATE. Was $12,500 **SOLD**
(05/21/2012) Note the golf cart story 🙂
“1946 Willys CJ-2A Jeep Very Early Civilian (VEC) Outstanding Condition! This restored gem may be the cleanest ’46 you have ever seen. No rust, no problems, everything works, it steers and stops like it did when new. Has recent new master cylinder installed. New exhaust system. Even the grase fittings have been replaced. 6 volt battery is 1 year old. Engine and transmission have been rebuilt and work great! Fires right up and goes. No smoke or missing. Vehicle has been in our local Independence Day Parade 4 years in a row and gets lots of applause. This is a real head turner. Has small dent on driver’s side top bow holder where ex-girlfriend’s disobiedient son ran into it with my golf cart. Jeep is here-they are gone! I am turning my attention to other vehicle restorations and can’t keep them all.
Engine # is CJ2A 102908. I will throw in a rough colum shift assy I got from another Jeep, although it may not be complete. I do not have the top bows or any other accessories.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $500. Duke reports this has is a column shift and the three data plates, so it is likely a VEC.
And it runs, too!
“Willys Jeep 1948, Runs, Complete Drives-No Brakes, Good Tires, Rusty and no title.
$500.00 Or best offer”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer
“Amazing condition:
1954 Jeep M38A, manufactured by Willys Overland. Body perfect. Needs very little to get running: fuel sending unit, fuel pump and tank.
1946 Jeep Willys CJ 2A. Body in excellent shape. Minor engine work to get this running. (First year that Jeeps were offered to civilians!)
Both of these Jeeps were up and running, but, my father passed away a few years back, and he had these at a shop in Iowa where they were doing some work on them. I have spent the last few years trying to get them back from the shop’s owner, so, nothing has been done with them since 2009.
Looking for trades on one or both. These are in amazingly good shape, and will take very little to get back to running. Interested in: jet skies/4×4 truck/Jeep Wrangler/trailer or camper/lot on lake/or open to other reasonable offers! Let me know if you have something that you think might spark my interest…but, be realistic! I will not ship, however, I know these are classic Jeeps, and someone from another part of country may be very interested…if legit, I will work with you if you hire delivery service to pick up.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price
The more rusted one looks like it has a VEC body.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000.
(11/01/2010) This appears in great condition. I’m wondering if this is actually a CJ-3A.
“Jeep CJ2, Calif Yellow & Black Plates, Clear Title. Has original “Go Devil” Flathead 4 motor. A very clean Jeep with no dents or rust. Good Glass, Seat and Tires. Runs smoothly. I have only used this for parades and car shows (show & tell) It has not been beaten up off roading. ”
The passenger side looks pretty rusted out.
