Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I’ve got a little bit of everything including a nice original OEM Willys CJ2A-3A low hood, an original OEM external oil filter housing with bracket and hardware, air filter parts, complete hand brake assemblies including the rear take-off for the drum and the drum itself.
I have rare and hard to find brackets, including a beautiful OEM set of Ford GPW grab handles. I’ve got a complete, running, driving numbers matching Willys M38 Jeep for sale with clear Texas Blue title, in my name, in my hand that matches the data plate behind the passenger seat. Engine cranks over but doesn’t start.
It has a swapped Buick 225 v6 / ST 300 auto transmission. They were mated but were separated for installation. Has single barrel carbon and HEI distributor
The frame is absolutely 100% solid. The body needs a few exterior patches but still solid. Comes with rare, flanged center output Dana 44 and front dana 27 axles
This Jeep has a Clean transferable registration in my name.”
The solid-letter Desert Dogs are in surprisingly good shape. I’d guess they are roughly at about 50% tread life.

1948 Willys Jeep. This jeep is all original and has been sitting for over 10 years. It does not run. It needs a lot of work but the body is in good shape.
