This looks ready for the trails.
“Freshly rebuilt Ford 302 ci with cam, intake and headers. Black soft top and doors in good condition included. The truck runs great. First $5,000 drives it home.”
It looks like some good upgrades have been added to this jeep.

“Complete (but completely in pieces) 1947 Willys CJ-2A, all good body panels and tub, straight frame, 2 transmissions and 2 transfercases, comes with a complete small block chevy (I was told its a 327 but I think its a 350, either way its complete with a manual transmission bellhousing). You will need a flatbed and tie-downs (tub is resting on frame, not bolted). I can usually show this in morning before 10:30am”
This CJ seems quite stock, however its condition is less clear due to the lack of image closeups.
“1946 Willys Jeep straight body, runs great. Needs upholstery.”
This looks like a project.
“1948 Willys Jeep, comes with two 4.3 Chevy V-6 3 speed transmission and model 20 Tranfer case. Also have motor mounts and adaptors, titled in Oregon, possible delivery. Can send more pictures.”
Here’s another customized hunting flattie out of Texas. These really deserve their own category.
“Here is a great hunting vehicle with minor work needed and she will roll. My father and I years ago pulled the flat 4 cylinder engine out and costumized the firewall and dropped a chevy 283 v8 in her. I have recently replaced the water pump, fuel pump, belts, two new front tires, rebuit radiator, fuel line filters. This jeep is a 1943-46 I will have to pull the title to confirm. This vehicle has bee in my family for thirty years and still runs strong. My asking price is $2650.00. Also has rifle rack, three spares which two need tires, Rack on the rear and two gas tanks with quick connects for rapid and easy switching tanks. Thank you for your time. Brandon 713-962-4705”
It runs, drives and even stops. Three important characteristics of a good jeep. Like you need anything else?
“’50s WILLYS JEEP. RUNS, DRIVES, STOPS. RHINO LINER SPRAYED INSIDE AND OUT. TIRES HAVE ALOT OF TREAD LEFT.”
This looks like a deal to me.
“1946 Willys L134 original flat head converted to 12V runs and drives good tires. almost all original. body pretty straight some rust. 1500.00. I don’t like posting my number here (too many solicitors) so send me yours and i will call you or reply with email”

It runs very good, transmission shifts great, 4 wheel drive works great. pictures show body wear, Serious inquires, Willys collectors will be very interested.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $850. I assume the unusual windshield is due to the hard top.
Here’s a jeep with an unusual top. and it appears to be a lefty, though the tire is mounted pretty high.
“Project i never had time for, nearly complete except for a few parts that were taken by midnight shoppers. starter air cleaner, carb missing.”

UPDATE: Back on eBay
I don’t understand why this has a working siren? The seller seems very excited about this as if it was an original feature? The seller also includes a long list of the items that have been repaired and replaced.

“1947 willys jeep CJ2A 4×4 runs great.Everything works. 3500.00 OBO
The jeep looks very original and in reasonably good condition. I suspect the price will drop slightly.
“The jeep runs great, garage kept, real good condition.65,605 original miles on the original enguine. The pictures will tell a little more about the jeep.Buyer responsable for taxes title transfer, transporting jeep.”
Though this is a VEC columnshift CJ-2A, it doesn’t have the side indents, though they may have been replaced with a sheet metal patch. It does have a rare, wooden interior you won’t find on most jeeps… lol
“LOOK! 1946 Willys Jeep cj2a. This is a low serial number vehicle, a Very Early Cilvilian model with the rare column shift. The body has the indents for the ax and shovel. It has a home made wooden cab and has been changed to 12 volts with a GM Delco alternator. I am using a remote 2 gallon gas tank mounted behind the cab. …..This is a good base for a great early model Jeep. I am only selling as I have 3 other Willys and other projects that I need to concentrate on. Don’t miss out on this. Vehicle is sold as is/where is. Buyer is responsible for moving vehicle. I can asist in loading vehicle. Buyer can leave vehicle on my property for up to 30 days after full payment is received. Happy bidding and call or e mail with questions. 434/736-0789 Cell 434/579-1874”
From what the pics show, this is a great price on what looks like a cj-2a in very good shape. Hop on this deal before it’s gone.
“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. Recent paint, Buick V6, original drivetrain. Has Best Top with doors (doors not pictured). Upgraded interior heater. 8000lbs Warn winch with remote. Electric wipers. Tow bar.”
“WE USED THE JEEP ON OUR RANCH FOR YEARS ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO WE BACKED IT UP UNDER A MESQUITE TREE AND PARKED IT, DUE TO THE FACT WE GOT A NEWER JEEP TO USE. THE JEEP DOES HAVE SOME RUST BUT NOT TO BAD FOR THE AGE OF IT AND I HAVE LOOKED AT SOME THAT WERE THIS AGE AND WERE A WHOLE LOT WORSE. ORIGINAL FLAT HEAD MOTOR, WAS REBUILT, YEARS AGO. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL SEATS IN IT TO, DRIVERS SEAT NEEDS TO BE PUT BACK ON. I HAVE TAKEN SEVERAL PICTURES OF IT, I HOPE THEY WILL HELP YOU OUT….”
UPDATE: With the help of eWillys, Bill sold his jeep. I’ll keep this for historical purposes.
Bill contacted me about selling this jeep he and his grandson have worked on for a few years. I suspect this good looking jeep was simply a bonus to that special time they enjoyed together.
Bill writes, “I have a 1948 Jeep cj2a that I bought in Black Mountain, NC. That was 4 years ago. I have done as much as I can to it. It runs great and we had fun working on it. My grandson Josh and I hung out together for quite a long time and that was fun. ”
The body doesn’t look like a VEC CJ-2A body.
