Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Nicely restored in 2004. Body off restoration, new tub, professional paint job. I have driven about 20,000 miles since the restore, all back roads and highway. I restored to show at local car shows and enjoy putting around in the Mother Lode area of Sierra’s. New tires, runs great, very reliable. There is an original Ramsey Winch with spool, a rear power take off unit to run it, also works great. Clean California registration and Title. Must see to appreciate. “this jeep has an overhead cam engine from a cj3b with around 3000 miles on it. Transmission gears, bearings and syncros, clutch, brakes, master cylinder and hubs have been gone through. Tub has been sanded then rhino lined. The only downfall is there is no top on it. Great summer vehicle or purchase the soft top online. Has been garaged for the last 30+ years. 2900 is a firm price.”

“1949 Willys CJ3a. $5500 obo. Boxed in frame. Replaced floor. Modified gas tank. Buick 231 v6 motor, t-10 transmission. Original transfer case. Dana 44 w/positraction rear end. I also have the original back seat. The only reason I’m selling this is to prevent the house from going back to the bank. Some parts of the body were fixed with fiberglass.

(12/16/2013) Looks like this has a spring over mod and a few other changes.
“I have a 1953 CJ-3A for sale. It looks and runs excellent. It has the “Go Devil” L-Head 134 c.i. 4 Cylinder engine, 3 speed T-90 transmission, and Dana model 18 transfer case. Has been updated to 12 volt. We called her Wilma and she would go anywhere we pointed her.”

(06/05/2013) That 3A has an odd front bumper. Note how far back it extends.
“this is for a willys jeep project,it is a 1953 CJ3A with a good running 283 Chevy V-8 engine and no body. The other is a 1957 CJ3B good body with roll cage.. The two pieces would make a great jeep with plenty of power and low end torque as it has 538 gears. Title for the 1957 body is available as I have the vin plate and registration but no title, bill of sale only. I have a refurbished under the seat gas tank and a rear 6 gallon unused gas tank to go with it and a good windshield. I also have used front disc brakes for an additional $175.the title can be gotten for an additional $300.00 extra or through the lost title process.”
