Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The driver side fender corners look a little sharp. I’m wondering if this has been modified. Otherwise, this Navy CJ-3B looks good for the price.

“THIS 1954 WILLYS CJ3B (HIGH HOOD) WAS FRAME OFF RESTORED ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO AND DRIVEN VERY LITTLE SINCE. IT WAS PURCHASED FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNERS SON, AFTER HIS DAD PASSED. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN ARIZONA, ON A RANCH, EXCEPT FOR THE LAST 6 YEARS. THE ORIGINAL OWNERS SON HAD THE JEEP RESTORED AFTER HIS DAD PASSED. THE SON HAD TO SELL THE RANCH ALONG WITH SOME OTHER THINGS, INCLUDING THIS WILLYS. IT IS AN EXTREMELY SOLID HIGH HOOD AND WAS KEPT COMPLETELY STOCK, RIGHT DOWN TO THE 4 CYLINDER ENGINE AND THE 3 SPEED TRANSMISSION. IT WAS PAINTED ISLAND GREEN, WICH WAS A FACTORY COLOR IN 1954. The restoration included body, engine, drivetrain, brake, electrical, interior, and fresh JEEP “Rescue Green” paint! 2. 2 tanks one under the seat and one in the back. Approx 20 gals total
3. Minor rust on the back panel and near the drain hole both on the passenger side.
4. Tires are 33″ Mud King. I am not sure of their age but the Willys has been in the garage for the past 6 years.

It runs and drives and is a mish mash of parts. You don’t often see a CJ-2A windshield on a CJ-3B body. And that hood, what’s up with it? It’s just wrong.

Would like to get a nice larger farm 4 wheeler, UTV, or pair of smaller four wheelers, but will consider anything. Will have to file for lost title to drive on the road. I used it on my farm.
