Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1960 Willys CJ3B with original drive train which runs excellent. I had driven it onto the tow bed upon purchase. I have not started the vehicle in over a year. TUB floors are rusted. Front Fenders, Hood, Grill are restorable. Tub can also be restored if you have the time otherwise you can pick one up from Willys Overland in TOLEDO. Purchased it for restoration from a very well known Willys MB restorer in Wisconsin who indicated that all the jeep needs is body work and ofcourse cleanup and paing to the chassis and engine and nothing else. I do not have the time with 2 toddlers in the house. Asking price is 1200.00 Firm.”

Well there is value here. But, please, a moment of silence for that poor CJ-2A; it may never have been a real soldier, but it looks like it got blown up just the same.

(12/13/2011) These are projects.
“I am selling my 1954 and 1955 Willys High hood jeeps. One has a good motor but the body is rough, and the other has a nicer body but the motor locked up. The one that runs has $1000.00 worth of wheels and tires on it and has only been driven af ew times. I also have new diamond plate rear quarter panels. I am asking $2500.00 each without the tires or quarter panels, $800.00 for the tires and wheels or $5000.00 for everything. This was going to be a project for my son and I, but tough times require a sale. Serious inquiries only please. Please Call with any questions as I dont check my email very often.”

(09/11/2011) The body is a M-38, but the serial number indicates a CJ-3B. (though the 153-GB2 should actually be 453-GB2). So, I’m gonna guess that has been assembled from several jeeps.
