It runs and drives, but could use some brakes.

“53 willys cj3b runs good the brakes work but not the best need to be bleed. Horn wiper and lights work. Has 134 f head 4cyl with t 90 3spd twin stick transfer. I have spare motor tranny and transfer. The tub is fair there are a few spots that have rot the front fenders mostly. Its got 6 33″ buckshot mud tires that are 3/4 tread or better. Has 6′ plow electric over hydrolic manual angle plow. New battery plugs changed.new oil in motor and all the boxes. just greased it. Has a boat tank for a fuel tank. make good project for road. mud buggy woods buggy or plow rig. open to offers what you got? interested in 350x, 250r, tri-z, 80s chevy or gmc long box 2wd trucks need not run but must have nice cab and bed. $2000 obo thanks”

“1953 Willys CJ3B Jeep. Clean Title and VIN plate. Was going to be a yard vehicle. Replaced badly rusted rear body with Steel frame and wood deck. New brake master cylinder, clutch and pressure plate. In process of converting to 12volt, new alternator and battery. Started to replace wiring. Patching to rest of body started. I have the hardtop and doors also. Runs pretty good, number 3 cylinder is a little lower than the rest (@60psi). I just am running out of time to work on it and need the space.”

“Framed off 1953 Willy’s CJ3b. I brought it in from the original ranch it worked on till 1978 in western NM. I had it running well and drove it for a couple years till military service called my name. Its ready to start the rebuild and I have all the original equipment to include frame, tub, windshield, tow bar, F104 engine, PTO unit, and many more additional pieces. The hard top in pic is not for this unit but with some cutting and machine work could fit. I’m not going to rebuild so make an offer. “Up for sale is a true barn find Willys! 1950s CJ 3B. Think it has the bigger L head engine but not positive. It is very rusty & has no title. I have no papers of any kind. A friend of mine found it in a barn in upstate NY while picking. He said they hooked a battery to it and it cranked but they did not try to start it not knowing the condition of the oil. I can verify the motor turns freely & is not seized. It’s the original 6 volt system which I don’t have a battery for. It’s all complete including the rare/custom half cab hard top with doors. The one door is off but should be an easy fix. Has a cool in cab heater. Original drivetrain including twin stick transfer case. It rolls fine once the tires are filled up. They have been holding air for 2 weeks now. Great for parts or restoration. Call or text Jim if our serious. Delivery may be possible for a fee if you don’t have a tuck & trailer once paid for. “Barn Find, very original, needs a full restoration. Engine runs great, was replaced in 81, has brakes, shifts well, clutch good etc. Has some rust in the passenger floor, the wiring is scary, needs a complete restoration.
