Colin’s son Lee has a variety of parts for sale.
“The two bodies are in fair shape. The yellow one is a 1951 M-38, with the floor pans, glove box door, battery box door and the dash insert for the gauges. The blue one is a 1957 DJ3A Dispatcher with a complete fiberglass top, doors, rear sliding door and windshield vent door. The glass is in all three doors, but no windshield glass.
Below is a listing of the parts he has and what he is asking for them:

This is missing a few M-38 related items, but might be a solid jeep.
“Vehicle is in good shape, runs well. Excellent condition for restoration project or just use as is. The seat frames were stollen, so new owner would have to buy new frames or adapt newer seats. Engine was rebuilt a few years ago, so there are very few miles on it. New brakes and cylinders. It has the original carb. I am trying to get more pictures on, but having much success. This appears to be a M-38 with bow holders on the side and bow holders at the rear corners. Very odd.

The seller claims this an unmolested CJ-3A. More accurately, it’s a M-38 that’s just slightly molested.

“What you are looking at is an original 1952 Willys M38 military Jeep. The jeep has all matching data tags. The Jeep has been gone through from top to bottom and was a frame off restoration. The engine has been rebuilt and the transmission and transfer case has all new seals. It could use new tires, but they are ok for now. All original 24 volt system. It’s in near perfect shape and is ready for you to hop in and go.

“I am listing this 1951 Willys M38 Jeep for my uncle. He has owned it over 25 years. It is in running condition as he drives it during fair weather.
It has a solid frame and body. It has not been significantly modified and still has its original character. It has been converted to a 12 volt electrical system. A recent restoration of the gas tank was completed to fix leaks and corrosion. The actual mileage is unknown. Included with the jeep is an operation/maintenance manual and a variety of extra parts including a rear seat frame.

“This Willys was running and driving when parks a few years ago. Bet you never heard that one before. I didn’t think so. Ok, here’s the deal. I picked up this Jeep a few weeks back because I wanted to get rid of the Buick V6 in my flat fender and put it back original. This one looked like a good candidate. Well, almost.
First of all, its an M38 and while not the best candidate of restoration, it is a little to good to part out without trying to save it as a whole vehicle. Secondly, the engine was stuck. It had been sitting under a shed for about 5 years so I didn’t anticipate it being real serious, so I pulled the head just to see. The pictures pretty much tell the story, but I’ll describe. The good is there is no ring groove and probably a light honing will clear the cylinders up. But it is going to have to be torn down. #3 piston has a couple of broke pieces missing out of it. Don’t exactly know how or why, but it is what it is.
Other than that, its a pretty complete old Jeep. All the engine parts are in place, except the conversion to 12v. generator. Nice windshield. Good seat frames. Study the pictures. The tag on the dash is definitely not original and I don’t recognize the number as an M38 number but there is an ID. This is BILL OF SALE ONLY!!! Please don’t expect anything more. I won’t try to get a title don’t even ask. ”

“This is a willys jeep m38 on a cj5 frame that has been blasted, powdercoated, strapped etc. It has a dana 30 front with disc brakes and a 44 rear with 19 slpine axles. It has a mercruiser 140 hp with zero miles. The t90 and 18 have both been rebuilt. The tub is an mdjuan in good shape and zero rust. It has 33” tires on new powdercoated black wheels. “Hey there , I’m selling my CJ-2A Project Jeep that i’m probably never going to get around to doing. It’s a ’46 , pretty much all original running gear (Flat head 4cyl., T90, model 18, etc.) It runs and drives but definately needs some work. It has been converted to 12Volt so it turns over nicely but it does need to have a basic ignition switch installed and lights , etc. The body isn’t bad for an old Willys, it does have it’s share of small dings and dents along with the standard issue Bondo but not much rust at all so it’s fairly solid. 4X4 works good and it does have some really decent old style 7.00 x 16 traction tires on it. I have a clear Washington title for it. Asking $950.00 Please call , email or text if you have any questions. ”
