“Unsure of the year but I believe it’s a 1945 Willy’s MB. It is currently decommissioned. The plan was to start the frame off restoration but no time to even start. Tub is rusty. Hood is decent. Any takers? The picture was taken BEFORE we decommissioned the Willys.”

James forwarded this gem of an ad. Looks like there are military and civilian jeeps for sale here.
“I recently purchased an estate of Willy’s CJ Jeeps and Parts, and I think I am ready to see if anyone needs parts or project vehicles. Mostly vintage with many early Willy’s CJ2A’s in complete condition and various stages. I have tubs also, some even bead blasted and ready to go. Looks like a fair amount of CJ5 and possibly early CJ7 as well. Look at the photos, that will give you an idea, most of the vehicles with wheels have complete drive trains. There are many loose front ends, rear ends, transmissions, and engine parts, as well as body parts.”
UPDATE: Was $2000. **SOLD**
“This is a classic Willys jeep, ready for restoration. I am not sure if it runs, it has just been sitting. No title, just a bill of sale. ”
UPDATE: Still Available, now painted green.
(07/02/2014) There’s a M-38A1 grille on the front for some reason.
“1942 Jeep willys.
4×4
This is a super solid project, almost ready.
V8 corvette engine, was running, needs battery.
Good, clean interior.
good exterior, primed!
need to sell.”
UPDATE II: **SOLD** Was $2000.
UPDATE: Craig pointed out that it’s possible the MB frame on this the correct frame. Ford used the same frame supplier, Midland Steel, before they contracted with Murray Steel for the GPW frames. (http://olive-drab.com/od_mvg_www_jeeps_mbgpw.php)
“For sale is a World War II, 1942 Script Ford Jeep, GPW, restoration project. Early 1942 Ford “Script Ford”. Might trade for 1965 to 1968 Mustang Fastback or Convertible in similar condition.
Body is Ford, Chassis is Willys. Titled on the dash VIN plate as Ford, GPW. Clear Ok. title.
Flathead engine is not correct, possibly late 40`s but I do have a Willys MB Block, WW2, (was running engine) that goes with the Jeep. Distributor boss is chipped on the block that is in the Jeep now, also some welding on the side of the block. Kaiser Supersonic head. ( adds 5 horsepower to engine ),I would use parts off the block that`s in it and put the MB engine in the Jeep. see picture. Correct Ford Transmission and Transfer Case. 1 seat is “F” , the other seat is WW2 Willys.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4400.
Runs and drives.
“Selling my1943 Willys. Runs good. It’s all original and has a non op. Clean title but need to reupholster the seats. All the gauges work, new carburetor. And wire the rear lights. Any questions call me.“

The only photo is of the CJ-2A. There’s a CJ-3A and MB parts jeep, too.
“I have decided to get out of the old Jeep hobby and sell all of my remaining vehicles and parts. I will attempt to sell everything to one buyer first and if no singe buyer emerges I will list everything separate.
I have:
1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A,
L-134 flathead 4 cylinder with less than 2000 miles on rebuild, Solex carb, Petronix ignition and 12 volt conversion. T90/18 trans and transfer case, Dana 44 rear. Body was taken off frame and repaired with pop riveted sheet metal. Floor boards and hat channels were replaced along with tool compartment floor. The Jeep is not original in anyway but is period correct. Nothing on this Jeep came on a 1946 Jeep. The windshield frame is off a 1942 GPW, the hood off a 49, body tub somewhere around 1950, engine is late 40’s or early 50’s, transfer case and transmission are earlier pieces with equal length handles, etc. It has been rebuilt dozens of times over its life.
Paint is rattle can and looks like it, but the body is very solid.
New gauges except fuel, no fuel gauge in vehicle. Tail lights are new and headlights and marker lights work. No turn signals, horn, or wipers. No top.
It’s rough.

This appears to have a MB/GPW tub and running gear. It’s also got the custom angled dash found mostly in California.
“I have a 47 jeep that I got a while a go I like to sell or trade the jeep is been sitting for a few years but it’s got tons of potential seems to be the military type I’m not sure it’s got a V8 chevy engine on it that turns freely however I don’t know if it will run. If you want a restore it or are restoring one this one will be good! It is a project!!! I like to trade for guns, tools? I don’t know or make a decent offer!”
This was auctioned in West Virginia.

This is a mix of 2A and MB parts.
“1948 Willys CJ2A. It was being done up to model a WWII Willys MB. It has a rebuilt T90 transmission and CJ2A engine but the tub is a MB tub. The tires are M151 tires. The motor is in great condition. The jeep did run and drive but the starter recently burned out. Has a brand new canvas top and original WWII MB grille . I was trying to convert this over to look like the WWII MB.
I don’t have anymore time to dedicate to the project so I am going to sell it. If you have any questions, please contact me. $6,000 OBO”
